Example of Defining an Output Control Code

This example demonstrates the creation and use of an output control code on a non-qualified printer type.

The senario for this example involves the printing of certain data in red on a special type of passbook printer, model PBP989. This requires an output control code to be created. The control sequence to make this type of printer use the red portion of the printer ribbon is ESC Q 3 $ (hexadecimal 1B 51 33 24).

Note: You also need an output control code (for example, BLACK) to set the printer back to its normal black color.
