Runtime for Windows Operating Systems uses Report Output Control (ROC) to print text only output from reports on TCP printers, including PostScript-compatible printers. In addition, you can print formatted output on TCP printers that use control characters in reports.
If you print to a text only output printer, no special fonts, effects (for example, bold), or characters are available.
If you print to a formatted output printer, special fonts, effects, and characters are available. The CODES and CODESASSN files can be used to hold the output control codes and associations between report output and specific printers respectively. These files can be modified for your specific requirements. They are transferred to the runtime location as part of the generation process.
By default, output is sent without formatting.
If you are using Enterprise Output Manager Reports, your report output is automatically detected and routed to the Enterprise Output Manager print queue. It is then redirected to the printer or output format specified in the print queue. Refer to the Agile Business Suite Developer Online Help for more information on setting up Enterprise Output Manager print queues.
