No additional steps are required to send external automatic entries or to communicate with applications on the same machine. However, if both EAE Windows and AB Suite Windows are installed on the same machine, to send external automatic entries, the following needs to be configured:
The EAE HubSocket should be running for Hubbing from AB Suite Windows to EAE Windows.
Similarly, AB Suite HubSocket should be running for Hubbing from EAE Windows to AB Suite Windows.
To receive external automatic entries from applications on other hosts, you must perform the following on the Windows server:
Start the HUB Protocol Adapter if communicating with non Agile Business Suite applications.
Configure the other host(s) for HUB communications, as described in the documentation for the specific host type.
To HUB between two Agile Business Suite for Windows runtime applications on two different hosts, additional security settings are required:
The two hosts have to be in the same domain.
AppUser and AppAdminUser must be domain users and on both source and destination machines they need to have the same set of privileges as local Agile Business Suite users need.
Distributed Transaction Coordination (DTC) has to be enabled for both machines.
To enable DTC, on each machine:
Start the Administration Tool.
From the Console Root, select Component Services > Computers > My Computer > Distributed Transaction Coordinator.
Right-click Local DTC from the Distributed Transaction Coordinator folder and click Properties.
From the Security tab in the Local DTC Properties dialog box, select Network DTC Access > Allow Inbound > Allow Outbound > No Authentication Required.
For Service Pack 1, select Network DTC Access, Network Transactions.
For Service Pack 2, select Network DTC Access, Allow Inbound, Allow Outbound, No Authentication Required.
For external automatic entries between Windows operating systems and most other host types, the default TCP/IP port number is 6001. Use the Runtime Administration Tool to change the default port number of the HUB protocol adapter. All hosts in the HUB ring must use the same port number.
Note: For external automatic entries between Windows operating systems and ClearPath OS 2200 hosts, the Windows operating system host HUB protocol adapter automatically uses the port number that is one higher than the Port Number defined in the Administration Tool. Ensure the TCP/IP port number on the Windows operating system host is the same as the lower TCP/IP port number on the ClearPath OS 2200 host. The default port numbers on the ClearPath OS 2200 host are 6001 and 6002. Refer to the Unisys Enterprise Application Runtime for ClearPath OS 2200 Administration Guide for more information on changing the default port numbers on your OS 2200 host. If you change the default port numbers, the second port number must be one higher than the lower port number (for example, if the lower port number is 7001, the second port number must be 7002).
