Redeployment can occur if an existing application is regenerated from Developer. Alternatively you can redeploy an existing application directly from the Administration Tool.
Redeploying an application either replaces, or forces a reorganization of the application s database.
To redeploy an application using the Administration Tool, perform the following:
Right-click an application and select All Tasks > Deploy.
Select Retain existing database to reorganize the existing application database. If this option is not selected, a new database is built.
Reorganizing a very large database might take a long time, depending on the size of the database. Ensure you have a backup of the database before reorganizing it. |
