Note: Only a system administrator can configure the privilege rights for users to add or remove a database.
To ensure that a user has the privilege rights to add or remove a database in the Agile Business Suite Administration Tool, add the user to the following policy, groups, and roles:
Allow logon through Terminal Services policy
Refer to the Help provided with your Microsoft Windows Operating System for more information on how to add a user to a policy.
Users and Remote Desktop Users groups
Refer to the Help provided with your Microsoft Windows Operating System for more information on how to add a user to a group.
Database Creators and Database Preparers roles in the AB Suite 7.0 Database Manager
To add a user to a role, perform the following:
Select Start, expand Agile Business Suite 7.0, and then select Administration Tool.
The Administration Tool window appears.
Note: You can also add a user to a role from Control Panel > System and Security > Administrative Tools > Component Services. In the Component Services window, navigate to Roles as mentioned in the following step.
In the left pane of the Administration Tool window, navigate to Component Services > Computers > My Computer > COM+ Applications > AB Suite 7.0 Database Manager > Roles.
The Database Creators and Database Preparers roles are displayed in the right pane of the Administration Tool window.
Double-click the role to which you want to add a user.
The Users folder is displayed in the right pane of the Administration Tool window.
Right-click the Users folder and select New > User.
The Select Users or Groups dialog box appears.
Specify the user you want to add to the role in the Enter the object names to select box in the Select Users or Groups dialog box.
Click OK to add the user in the selected role.
