Use this dialog box to register a database server for use in the runtime environment.

DBMS registration alias name

Enter a name by which the server registration is identified in the navigation tree.

Server machine

Enter the database server name. If the database server is local, enter localhost. Otherwise, enter the remote database server name. If the database server is in a cluster, enter the database cluster name.

Instance name

Enter the SQL Server instance name if you are using named instances. If the SQL Server instance on the database server is the default instance, leave this field blank.
