An ispec transmitted with its Maint built-in attribute set to CHG (or its translated equivalent in Glb.Chg) modifies its existing record in the database. The ispec might have been recalled using one of the recall values (FIR, LAS, NEX, BAC, and REC). Any non-empty persistent attributes (those set to values other than their initialized values) that are transmitted are changed in the database record.
In the database, a changed record's Maint value is set to C.
Note: When Maint is set to CHG, persistent attributes that have their Clear when property set are initialized to empty if the value passed is comprised of the Clear When character.
