Glb.User is a read-writable built-in segment attribute that is used to associate a user name with output from ROC standard reports, for security purposes. If it is not set to spaces, report output is visible only to users signed on with the user name set in Glb.User for the referencing report, or with a user name of spaces. Glb.User is ignored for direct reports.
For an MCP-based system, user names are validated against usercodes.
Note: When identifying MCP-based Terminal Printer Spooler users, only the first 10 characters of Glb.User are used.
Once report output has been produced, the Glb.User value remains as it is until the next Release logic statement or end-of-job, when the most recent change to its value applies.
Glb.User has a default value of spaces.
The User built-in outputstream attribute is used for outputstreams similarly to how Glb.User is used for reports.
