Glb.Language

Glb.Language is a read-writable built-in segment attribute that is used in a multiple language environment to specify the presentation language of the application user interface to the accessing client.

Ispecs

Glb.Language can not be set to a language that is not defined for the application. If GLB.LANGUAGE is set to a language name that is not defined for the generated system then the current setting of GLB.LANGUAGE is retained.

Set Glb.Language to the Glb.Spaces built-in segment attribute to select the Primary language.

Reports

Reports do not allow dynamic modification of their presentation language. Correspondingly, Glb.Language can not be set in reports during runtime. If an attempt is made to do so, Glb.Language retains its current value.

Glb.Language is set when reports are built. For reports built in a single language, Glb.Language is set to the Primary language. For reports built in multiple languages, Glb.Language is set to the language to the report was last built.

The Glb.RepLang built-in segment attribute is set to the current fixed Glb.Language value.

Note: The length of Glb.Language can be a maximum of 10 characters, with no spaces or symbol characters.
