Internal RDMS Items Dialog Box

Use the Internal RDMS Items dialog box to define the options for System tables.

To display the Internal RDMS dialog box, select the <Edit…> drop-down list in the Internal RDMS Options property under RDMS category for Segments.

This dialog box contain the following fields:

Specifies whether after-looks are taken for the storage area.

Compress

Specifies whether index compression is to be used.

DPF

Data Page Factor (DPF) specifies the UREP parameter. This value must not be changed and is for Unisys use only.

Duplex Pack

Specifies the name of the duplex pack.

IPF

Index Page Factor (IPF) specifies the UREP parameter. This value must not be changed and is for Unisys use only.

Keep Asg

Specifies whether to keep the file assigned after usage.

Load Factor

Specifies the maximum percentage of space to be used for loading index and table data pages.

Locking

Specifies the level at which locks are applied.

Max Pages

Specifies that sizing is to be calculated according to the number of pages.

MF

Merge Factor (MF) specifies the UREP parameter. This value must not be changed and is for Unisys use only.

Pack

Specifies the name of the pack on which the data is to be stored.

Page Size

Specifies a page size calculated in words.

Population

Specifies the number of entries for the selected table.

By default, this property is set to different values for different table.

Reserve

Specifies the percentage of the initial reserve that should be used.

Table

Lists the name of the following System tables:

  • C_R_I (Critical point recovery information file)

  • D_A_D (Data Descriptions file)

  • G_S_D (Translatable GSD file)

  • H_U_B (External Automatic Entry recovery file)

  • L_TRC (Trace records file)

  • S_T_N (Station Information File)

For each table you can view the corresponding attributes.

TIP Num

Specifies the TIP file number on which the table is to be stored.
