Migrating Existing Remote Database Backup (RDB) to AB Suite

This subsection provides a brief description of how to use MCP Remote Database Backup in AB Suite after migrating an RDB capable system from EAE or an earlier version of AB Suite.

Note: You should use DB Centre or RDBUTILITY, and not AB Suite to setup the secondary database.

Remote Database Backup

Remote Database Backup (RDB) is a database recovery system. This system is a key component of any disaster recovery plan because it minimizes the amount of time needed to recover from a loss of database access.

Remote Database Backup works with Enterprise Database Server databases.

Runtime Transfer in EAE and AB Suite provide the means to set up an RDB system for the EAE and AB Suite applications.
