LDL Language Migration

All LDL language commands in the EAE 3.3 model are converted to new LDL+ language commands during the migration process. The logic of every method, and conditions attached to Profiles and Data Types (Dictionary Value Checking Logic) are migrated to LDL+ syntax.

LDL Language migration occurs automatically when you migrate a model via the Model Importer or via the History Viewer.

When you migrate a model by the History Viewer, the following elements are converted during language migration: Ispec, Report, Profile, Global Logic, or Dictionary Item. Other elements can be imported via the History Viewer, but only the elements mentioned are elements to which the language conversion applies. Keep this limitation in mind when choosing your import method.

When invoked by the History Viewer, Language Migration might not have sufficient information available to properly migrate the command operands. These command operands refer to attributes that are created in the model when it was originally migrated. This leads to validation errors when the logic is validated after migration. Any such validation errors require manual correction.

All changes to existing models and logic as a result of this language conversion are described in the EAE 3.3 to AB Suite Migration Reference Guide.

LDL Language migration to LDL+ is an integral part of model/element migration. It is not possible to migrate a model without invoking the language migration utility. Refer to Migrating Language Using LANGUAGE Migration Utility for more information on language migration utility.
