Configurations in Agile Business Suite Developer are part of the Visual Studio interface and perform similar functions to Generate Sets from EAE 3.3. They are simply sets of named options that cover the functionality of Agile Business Suite for development and deployment. Generate Sets from EAE 3.3 are migrated to Agile Business Suite as configurations.

To select the appropriate configuration and platform to build, you must select them

from the Configuration Manager, rather than from the drop-down list on the configuration properties dialog. Similarly, new configurations can only be made using the Configuration Manager. All elements below the model are “owned” by the model and therefore inherit all configuration properties. Whenever a configuration is changed it is reflected over the entire model.
