LCIF View Dialog Box

The LCIF View dialog box is displayed when you select the View command, to view the specification of a revision in the Version Bank.

LCIF Record Type field

The LCIF Record Type field on the status bar indicates the type of record at which the cursor is currently pointed.

LCIF Section

The LCIF Section field contains a list of the sections of the LCIF file. The list varies according to the object you are viewing.

Line Number Field

The Line Number field on the status bar displays the logical line number at which the cursor is currently positioned. This includes blank lines which are used for aligning text in Difference.

Double-click on this field to display the Navigation dialog box.

Toolbar Buttons for the Viewer

The toolbar buttons available on the View and Compare dialog boxes are:

Use the Change Display Attributes button to open the Display Attributes dialog box

Ctrl + D

Use the Create Differences Report button to open the Create Differences Report dialog box. Use this dialog box to create a viewable and printable XML report for the objects you are comparing.

Ctrl + T

Use the Find button to search for a string within the LCIF file. This button opens the Find dialog box.

Ctrl + F

Use the Find Next button to search for the next occurrence of the search string within the LCIF file.

F3

Use the Find Previous button to search for the previous occurrence of the search string within the LCIF file.

Shift + F3

Use the Next Difference button to move to the next difference in the file you are comparing.

If the current difference is the last in the file the Next Difference button is disabled.

F9

Use the Previous Difference button to move to the previous difference in the file you are comparing.

If the current difference is the first in the file the Previous Difference button is disabled.

Shift + F9

Use the What’s This? toolbar button to request context-sensitive help for fields and other toolbar buttons.

To use it, click first on the What’s This? button, then click on the object for which you need help.
