Screen Layouts

During the build or configure of your application, an index is created for the screen layouts file:

          system/LINCFORM

This file name is then changed automatically (during application program initiation) to:

          system/LINCFORM/LOADED

The system value can be the name of any built application, including the NGEN28/ UTILITY software.

FTU

The LINCFORM file screen layouts are only loaded into your application during initiation of your application when the LINCFORM file is present on disk. This enables Forms Translation Utility (FTU) changes to the file to be loaded when the application is next initiated. (Refer to Translation Using Forms Translation Utility (FTU) for more information on FTU.) If the application is active, the translated forms are loaded immediately at the end of the FTU run.

Regenerating

When your application is rebuilt, a new LINCFORM screen layout file is only created when:

Modifications are made to presentation screen layouts using Painter.
Attributes are modified using:
- Painter
- Properties window
Properties determining the use of the Report Output Control system with your application have been changed.

This new file provides screen layouts for your application.
