At Application Closedown

When using NOF, it is necessary to bring down the NOF programs at system closedown, before closing down your application. Alternatively, you must delink the LINCSUPPORT library before closing down your application, or you are not able to restart the application. Refer to the Agile Business Suite Installation and Configuration Guide for more information.

When using NOF, each NOF station must send a BYE transaction to the application to signoff. If this is not done, the application will not automatically stop (AutoStop).

Report Initiation and the NOF Interface

Only ROC Reports or non-video non-ROC Reports can be run from a NOFORMS-type terminal.

Station Name Conflict

Your NOF programs should ensure that the station names used for NOF connections (supplied in GL-MSG-STNNAME for messages sent from NOF to Agile Business Suite) do not conflict with COMS station names that can connect directly to the window. If you do not do this, problems can occur; for example, a NOF station sharing session data such as Glb.Work with a direct terminal of the same name.

The NOF skeleton program attempts to overcome this by prefixing COMS names with NOF. However, you can use any suitable convention.
