The syntax for this command is as follows:

TRACE+

Application Builder has an extensive internal tracing capability that can be helpful when diagnosing problems in the generate.

Use this command to set tracing for the main elements of Builder's processing routines. If a more complete range of tracing is required, the trace details must be set in the Application Builder .INI file located in NGEN28/APPL_BLD_nn/INI. In this file the various trace options are set. To be enabled, these options must commence in column one of the file. The Application Builder must be bounced (NA…-, NA…+) for any changes to be effective.

When enabled, internal tracing information is captured to the printer backup (BD name = *APPL_BLD/…) for subsequent analysis.

Setting or resetting tracing using TRACE+/TRACE- is not persistent over Application Builder sessions. When no argument is supplied, the current state is shown.
