MAXLOGSIZE

The syntax for this command is as follows:

MAXLOGSIZE [{nn}]

Use this command to set the size limit for the Application Builder log file. It displays or sets the maximum physical record log file size to nn records. By default, the value is 30000.

If the maximum is exceeded, the Application Builder consolidates the log from the oldest System generate entry.

If this does not result in any consolidation and the current log size is at least 50% greater than the defined MAXLOGSIZE then Application Builder waits on an AX to confirm a forced split of the generate log at 50% of its current size. Application Builder

waits up to 3 minutes for a response. No response or an AX of anything other than SPLIT bypasses the generate log consolidation. A forced generate log split might result in the loss of current generate log summaries for some active systems.

The current log is taken a backup with a suffix of ../ccyymmdd/hhmmss before any consolidation occurs. Consolidation is only attempted at orderly close of Application Builder.

Refer to OG command for more information on logging.
