An application automatically performs recovery when it is required after a Halt/Load.

For example, if a WFL for initiating Reports was running when the application failed, the WFL automatically reinitiates the RIP program NGEN28/RIP. NGEN28/RIP recognizes this restart and connects to its Report if it is running. If the Report had already completed, NGEN28/RIP terminates P-DS.

When recovery is complete, normal processing resumes. Startup logic is not performed in Recovery mode. During recovery, all Reports (except Standalone Reports) that were running at the time of failure are recovered.
