If you enter Y in the TRANSLATE GSD property on the FTU Welcome screen, the Segment Attribute and Caption Translation Utility menu screen is displayed. Each Segment Attribute is displayed in turn.
If you choose to translate both captions and Segment attributes, the Segment attribute translation menu is given first.
Make any changes to your Segment attribute initial values for the languages shown on the screen, and transmit.
Alternatively, you might enter an FTU command in the COLON COMMAND property.
The Segment Attribute and Caption Translation Utility screen properties, and your end-of-file choices, are detailed in the following subsections.
GLOBAL.SD NAME Property
This property displays the name of a Segment attribute. You cannot change this value on this screen.
LENGTH Property
This property displays the length of the Segment attribute. You cannot change this value on this screen.
COLON COMMAND Property
Use this property to enter valid commands, as shown in the following table. You might enter the full command, or only the first character of the command.

About Commands
Commands without an initial colon are ignored. Your entered values are saved, and the next record is displayed.
:GSD and :DAD are valid in both caption and Segment attribute translation modes.
An invalid command refreshes the screen.
For the :BYE, or :QUIT, or :TERMINATE commands, translation of Segment attributes and of captions is regarded as a single current FTU activity.
LANGUAGE Property
The Primary language name, and up to fourteen other language names are shown under this heading.
GLOBAL.SD VALUE Property
Your Segment attribute initial values are listed under this heading:
The Primary language value cannot be deleted or replaced by spaces.
Although fifteen properties are displayed, only those corresponding to your valid languages might be modified.
To delete a translated value, fill the property with the right parenthesis character, as follows:

Your changes are saved immediately after you transmit, unless you enter a command.
End-of-File Choices
If you reach the end of the file, you are prompted for your next action. Enter Y in one of the following properties.
Exit from FTU
Enter Y in this property to finish the FTU session, saving your changes. This is the default action.
Return to Welcome screen
If BYE is not selected, enter Y in this property to return to the FTU Welcome screen.
