Modifying Utility Screens

This situation applies where translations are to apply to all users of the Utilities:

There is initially only one set of screen layouts in the Utility LINCFORM file. To create additional sets of screen layouts, specify the following file:

 NGEN28/UTILITY/LINCFORM

To create additional sets of screen layouts for translation, use the :ADD command. The View/Modify User Languages property is not available for Utility screen layouts.

As languages are accessed from the NGEN28/UTILITY/LINCFORM file by language number (position) rather than language name, ensure that your defined language positions in the NGEN28/UTILITY/LINCFORM file match the positions of those defined in the NGEN28/MLSLIBRARY file.

Using Translated SMU Utility Screens

If you want to use translated SMU Utility screens when configuring transferred applications, you must ensure that the correct NGEN28/UTILITY/LINCFORM file is translated.

The Configure process first looks for the file under the source host Runtime usercode and the Dictionary pack of the transfer, then under the usercode and primary pack for the Configure run.
