FTU displays screens, languages, Segment attributes, and Captions for translation or modification.
When you initiate FTU, a screen is displayed for you to enter your required types of translation. Select the translations you want to perform by naming the file you require, and by marking your function options.
Note: It is important that you choose the correct files for the FTU tasks you want to perform. Refer to Choosing Correct Files for FTU Tasks for more information.
FTU then reads the necessary files and present the appropriate information for translation or modification, as follows:
If you have chosen to change the ordering of languages, a screen containing the current languages is displayed next. Make your changes directly on this screen.
If you have chosen to translate captions or Segment attributes, the existing translations are displayed, and space is provided for your additional translations.
If you have chosen to translate screen layouts, the screens that can be translated are displayed one at a time on Page 1 of your terminal (and Page 2 where appropriate), for you to translate.
You can use FTU commands to control your FTU session. Refer to FTU Commands: General and FTU Commands: Format Screen and Teach Screen for more information.
