Details of the properties on the DMU home screen are listed in the following subsections, in order of screen appearance. Enter your parameters, select your option, and then transmit. After your DMU run, you are returned to this screen for another selection, or to sign off the DMU program.
Note: You must select only one of the Garbage Collection, Population Change, or the Update DMS Level properties.
ACTION
Use this property to perform the following actions. Any other properties on the screen are then ignored.
Enter H or HELP to obtain online help.
Enter B or BYE to sign off the program.
Enter R or RETURN to return to the start of the program.
SYSTEM NAME
Enter the name specified as your application name at generation.
DATABASE NAME
Use this property to enter the name specified as your database name at generation.
USERCODE
Enter the usercode applying to your built application.
PASSWORD
Enter the password associated with the usercode applying to your built application.
ACCESSCODE
If your usercode has an associated accesscode, enter the appropriate accesscode.
PASSWORD
If you entered an accesscode, enter the password associated with the accesscode.
CHARGECODE
If your usercode has an associated chargecode, enter the appropriate chargecode.
DICTIONARY PACK
Use this property to enter the pack name specified as the Dictionary pack for your application at generation.
WORK PACK
Enter a pack name to be used as the Work pack. If you do not enter a pack name, DMU attempts to use the family DISK. If your host does not have a family named DISK family, you will be prompted for a pack name for every file.
RDB SECNDRY WORK
This property is only relevant if you are running DMU against a primary database that has an RDB secondary database. Enter the name of the work pack to be used by the reorganization process on the secondary host. The default is the value entered in the WORK PACK property. If that pack does not exist on the secondary host, the process stops waiting for the pack.

REORG TASKS
This property defines the maximum number of concurrent reorganization tasks that are performed. Enter the number of parallel reorganization tasks that you require. By default, DMS II runs reorganization tasks serially.
OFFLINE, REORGDB
Enter Y in this property if you do not want reorganizations to be audited, but to use the DMS II OFFLINE.
Enter N to use audited reorganizations.
Enter O to use the OFFLINE with nopostdump option.
Enter R to use REORDGDB.

If you are using the Remote Database facility (RDB) with your application, you must reclone your database if you enter Y or R in this property. Refer to Backup, Recovery, and Remote Database Facility for more information on Remote Database facility.
Sort SETS ON REORG
Enter Y for sets to be sorted during population change reorganization. By default, it is Y.
Refer to Administering Application Builds and Reports for more information on how to use Sort Sets. Refer to the Agile Business Suite Installation and Configuration Guide for more information on required DMS II system software levels.
ALLOWEDCORE
Enter the default setting of ALLOWEDCORE. The value you enter becomes the default for all configurations in all Specifications. If you enter 0 in this property the value is set to 12000 words.
If you enter a value greater than the memory you have available, the reorganization fails. You should check your hardware and software requirements. Refer to the description of the ALLOWEDCORE parameter in the DMSII Utilities Manual for BUILDREORG utility for more information.

REORGDB
Enter R to set the ReorgDB options. Enables the new DMS II options for reorganizing the database without shutting down the database. If REORGDB is set then a title is built from REORG DATABASE NAME and the DB PK.
REORGDB ALLOWEDCORE
This property must be set if you set the ReorgDB option. This property allows minimum of 1,000,000 words, in Kwords.
CREORGDB COPY CORE
This property might be set if you set the ReorgDB option. This property allows a minimum of 1 million words, in Kwords.
COPY TO PK
This property might be set if you set the ReorgDB option. Enter the name of a pack if the you want to copy the database files on to a different pack.
REORG DATABASE NAME
This property might be set if you set the ReorgDB option. Enter the name for the reorgdb program.
DB PK
This property must be set if you set the ReorgDB option. Enter the name of the pack for the reorgdb program.
DMS USERCODE
If you are using a different version of DMS II to standard, enter your DMS Usercode in this property.
DMS PACK
If you are using a different version of DMS II to standard, enter your DMS Pack in this property.
GARBAGE COLLECTION
Enter Y in this property to select the Garbage Collection function for your DMU run. The Garbage Collection Parameter screen is then displayed next. Enter N or a space if you do not require garbage collection.
If you enter Y in this property, you must enter N or a space in both the POPULATION CHANGE and UPDATE DMS LEVEL properties. Refer to Garbage Collection on Systems for more information.
POPULATION CHANGE
Enter Y in this property to select the Population Change function for your DMU run. The Population Change Parameter screen is returned. Enter N or a space if you do not require population change.
If you enter Y in this property, you must enter N or a space in both the GARBAGE COLLECTION and UPDATE DMS LEVEL properties. Refer to Changing Populations Using DMU for more information.
UPDATE DMS LEVEL
Enter Y in this property to select the DMS II Database Update function for your DMU run. The update is automatically initiated and you are returned to this screen. Enter N or a space if you do not require this option. Refer to DMS II Database Updates Using DMU for more information.
If you enter Y in this property, you must enter N or a space in both the GARBAGE COLLECTION and POPULATION CHANGE properties.
