Reading a Diagnostic Log Listing

The Diagnostic Log Listing prints all logical records from the log file. Log message records (transactions) and activity records (for example, BOJ, EOJ) are both listed.

The Diagnostic Log Listing lists each logical record in two parts.

DLOG Heading Information

The Heading details of your Diagnostic Log listing can be divided into three parts, as described in the following table.

DLOG Text Information

If any text is associated with a log entry, it follows the heading information. Examples of text are Ispec screens sent to a station by a COMSTP program, and Ispec screens sent from a station to a COMSTP program.

The text is displayed unformatted. If formatted text is required, then you should use System Monitor (in viewing mode) or the Activity Log Printing program.
