Diagnostic Log Utility

Before using the Diagnostic Log utility, ensure you have read and understood Activity Log.

The Diagnostic Log utility NGEN28/DLOG might be used for diagnostic purposes to list the Activity Log, including all control messages for a particular system. User data in this printout is not formatted.

A printout of this log or copy of the LINCLOG file, illustrating any problem you wish to report to Unisys, must accompany your User Communication Forms (UCFs).

The Diagnostic Log utility requires entry of the following:

Pass your starting and ending positions to the program through an Accept value. You can also pass a starting point by using an optional VALUE parameter.

 Caution

Usercode and/or accesscode passwords are stored in the logs, and can be displayed in unprotected mode and printed by using this utility. Refer to Security of Diagnostic Log Utility.
