Reading an Activity Log Listing

The Activity Log Listing optionally lists the messages and statistics from the Activity Log. The messages are shown first in the listing, in two parts.

Heading

The heading makes up the first line of each listed log record.

The following table lists the items as they appear on the first line. The equivalent log file property name is also given. Property descriptions can be found under Log File Structure.

Text

The message text, as it was received from each station, is listed after the heading line. Each of the attribute names is given, followed by an equals sign (=), then the value of the attribute (in parentheses).

At the end of the message text, the result for the log record is shown. This includes whether or not the entry was successful, and any error messages that were sent.

If you select the DBSTATS option, a line giving database activity precedes these results. DMS reads, writes, and total DMS activity are shown for each transaction logged.

A line of hyphen characters separates each transaction log record.
