Log files should not be removed until they have been backed up.
Automatic backup and removal of log files, as they are closed, can be handled programmatically, by using the WFL system/LOGBACKUP.
Note: This file must reside on the Object pack for the specified application.
If it is present, the WFL job is automatically initiated by your application at runtime. When a log file is released, the log number is passed to the WFL file or Log Backup program for processing.
