Accessing ROC from Presentation Client as a Browser Applet

To access the ROC application by using the Presentation Client as a browser applet, perform the following:

  1. Perform steps 1 through 7 as mentioned in Accessing ROC from Standalone Presentation Client.

  2. Create a folder in a preferred location on your machine. For example, C:\pclient

  3. Copy the com folder, its subfolders, and all the files related to the AB Suite application from <CE Download Directory> to the folder you created in step 2. For example, after you copy the com folder, the folder structure of the AB Suite application is as follows:

    C:\pclient\com\unisys\<AB Suite application name>\<bundle folder name>\views\lang1033

    Note: After you copy the com folder, ensure that the hierarchical structure of the com folder is preserved.

  4. Create a virtual directory by using the Internet Information Services (IIS) and point it to the folder created in step 2.

    Refer to the Agile Business Suite Component Enabler User Guide for more information on creating a virtual directory.

  5. Copy the following files from <CE Installed directory> to the folder created in step 2.

    • config.xml

    • home_page.html

  6. Copy the following files from <CE Installed directory>\Lib to the folder created in step 2.

    • jh.jar

    • ViewerHelp.jar

    • xercesImpl.jar

    • xmlParserAPIs.jar

    • LincViewer.jar

    Note: Copy the LincViewer.jar file from <CE Installed directory>\Lib\signed.

  7. Configure the config.xml file.

    Refer to the Agile Business Suite Component Enabler User Guide for more information on configuring the config.xml file.

  8. Configure the home_page.html file.

    Refer to the Agile Business Suite Component Enabler User Guide for more information on configuring the home_page.html file.

  9. Open Internet Explorer and type the location of the home_page.html file in the address bar.

    For example, http://<host name>/pclient/home_page.html

    The Component Enabler Presentation Client window appears in the Internet Explorer.

  10. From the Available Systems list, select the AB Suite application through which you want to access the ROC.

    The Presentation Client window appears as an applet and displays the Session dialog box.

  11. Select the system, and click Connect. The Select a Screen dialog box appears.

  12. Click ROC to access the ROC application.

    Note: If you specify an Ispec as the Fireup Ispec in the Segment properties, the application displays the same Ispec instead of the Select a Screen dialog box. You must go to System > Select Screen and click ROC in the Select a Screen dialog box to access the ROC application.
