Displays or sets Automatic Log Release attribute. Default setting is :ALR- (disabled). Setting is stored in your database. When your application is initiated, stored settings are reapplied. Security level is Controller.

The :ALR command has the form:

:ALR

:ALR+ enables Automatic Log Release at application close down. If logging is in progress when your application is stopped, the current log file is stopped and released. A new log file is created when the application is re-initiated.

:ALR- disables Automatic Log Release at system close down. It also restores the default action (that is, close and release log files only when full).

:ALR displays the current value of the Automatic Log Release attribute.
