:LAM Low Account Month

Use this command to display or set the Low Account Month (LAM) for the running application. The effect of the LAM value is to prevent the application accepting any transaction having an earlier date (contained in the built-in attribute ActMth). By default, the value is the year and month at which the application was initiated. Security level is controller.

The :LAM command has the form:

:LAM [yymm]

Any valid LAM remains in effect until a new one is specified. The value of the LAM is stored in the Database.

To set a new Low Account Month, enter the :LAM command with a four-digit number (the first two digits being the year and the second two digits the number of the month). For example, :LAM 9806 sets the Low Account Month to June 1998. If no value is entered, the current value of LAM is displayed.

Refer to :HAM High Account Month for setting the High Account Month.
