The :BDD command sets the Backup Disk File Designator, by specifying name prefix for Line Printer files. It applies to Direct ROC Reports and non ROC Reports. The security level is Controller. Refer to the Attribute logic command in the Agile Business Suite Programming Reference Manual for more information on idle applications.
The :BDD command has the form:
:BDD name
name is the prefix for Line Printer backup files, which might include a usercode. The value might be up to 19 characters, including usercode and parentheses.
By default, the setting is NGENBD.
Note: Migrated systems might continue to use LINCBD as the default BD name for print output. To use NGENBD as the prefix to BD files for migrated systems, use :BDD NGENBD to change the BD prefix.
Printer backup files created by Reports are named:
( usercode ) bdname/mix/counttitle
Where:
usercode is the usercode of the file
bdname is a prefix for the file name
mix is the seven-digit mix number of the Report
counttitle consists of count a three-digit number, and title the title of the file
:BDD when used without parameters displays the value of the current Backup Disk File directory.

Note: The space between the command and the period is required.
This command:
Automatically releases and prints Line Printer backup files upon completion of the Report.
Uses the operating system default value (*BD), so that your line printer backup files are named as follows.
*BD/000mix/000title
