:TIN Terminal Input Commands

The :TIN command is used to control client terminal input. The :TIN setting is stored in your database. When your application is initiated, stored settings are reapplied. Security level is Controller.

The :TIN command has the form:

:TIN

:TIN displays the current setting of the Terminal Input option.

:TIN+ enables transaction input from terminals signed on to your application. Use this command to resume normal input after it has been disabled by :TIN-.

:TIN– prevents transaction input to your application, and ensures that the database cannot be updated by any other online program. While terminals are disabled, they might still send replies to Accept logic commands from a running Report, and send administration commands.
