While entering Administration commands, you must only use the short alternative names for Ispecs, Reports and Subsystems.

For example, if a Segment has an Ispec with long name as MYLONGISPECNAME and alternative name as MYISP. Suppose, you want to use the :LIS command:

You need to enter:

 :LIS PRIMARY MYISP

If the user enters :LIS PRIMARY MYLONGISPECNAME, the colon command will not work.
