The USS5100 Unisys Remote Mirroring Facility can be used to provide a remote copy of an DMSII database for disaster recovery backup. In order for an application to be fully recoverable, it is important that files are mirrored, where mirroring is mandatory.

Where mirroring is optional for a given file, identical copies must be maintained on both local and remote hosts using identical file names on each host.
