Use this screen to specify valid attributes for audit files for your applications. This screen enables you to make use of the growing combinations of new options and new drives as they become available. You are also able to make your own optimizations with regard to performance, memory requirements, and disk usage.

Accessing the Screen

This screen is displayed when you enter U in the Copy Audit to Tape property on the Environmental DMS Options screen. The previous audit details are extracted from the DMS II source and presented as the default details on the screen.

Completing the Screen

Enter the complete characteristics of the primary and duplicated Audit files in the screen property. Up to 660 characters (10 screen lines each of 66 characters) can be entered. Your entry are included in your DASDL, enclosed within the parentheses following the AUDIT TRAIL declaration.

You must include all necessary primary and secondary audit file details, including the audit pack location details, as your entries in the Audit and Duplicate Audit properties on the Pack Allocation screen are ignored for audit purposes if U is entered in the Copy Audit to Tape property on the A Series Environmental Options screen.

To remove any previously entered information, blank out the audit information displayed on the screen.

It is your responsibility to ensure that the details are complete and syntactically correct, as syntax checking is not performed, and any errors might result in DASDL compilation or runtime failures.
