Procedure for Using Configure Configurations

The procedure for Transfer and Configure using a Configure configuration can be summarized as follows.

On the source host

  1. Generate your application and Reports to be transferred.

  2. Set up your Configure Configuration. (These settings are applied at the target host.)

  3. Initiate the transfer by using the System Transfer screens. Enter the name of your Configure Configuration in the Configure Generate Set property on the Transfer Selection screen.

  4. If the BNA connection fails during a BNA transfer, you will be prompted that the transfer is waiting. To continue with the transfer, retry following reconnection.

When the transfer is successfully completed, the source host procedure is finished.

On the target host

For a BNA transfer with the Auto Initiate Config property set, the Configure job is automatically started. For any other type of transfer, you must manually initiate the Configure job.

No SMU screens are displayed, as the Configure Configuration settings are used. Refer to Running the Configure Utility for more information.
