In the unlikely event that you need to manually unlock your database, you can do this by running the NGEN28/CFG program. This program is used to lock and unlock your database automatically during the build process.
It is strongly recommended that you do not attempt to unlock your database in advance of the automatic unlock. A manual unlock should only be used in the case of an unrecoverable reorganization failure, where Agile Business Suite must gain access to your database. |
CautionWhen an application is locked, any initiation of LSS, any COMSTP program, or any Report, immediately terminates.
Running the NGEN28/CFG Program
To run the NGEN28/CFG program, enter the following command:
RUN $NGEN28/CFG ("option") ; FILE LINCCONTROL (TITLE=(usercode) system/linccntl on dictpack)
In this command, option is either LOCK (to LOCK the database) or UNLOCK (to UNLOCK the database). Your database can be manually unlocked by using the COMS Utility window to update the subaddress property in the COMS Window entity to blank.
