Using External DASDL Files in Reorganization

Most changes made to an external DASDL file is identified at the next generate, and causes the appropriate database reorganization. Certain changes are not identified; for example, any changes to embedded or remapped datasets are not correctly identified. This includes the addition and deletion of these structures.

If you make any changes to your external DASDL file, it is your responsibility to ensure that any reorganizations, initializations, or DMS II updates that are required as a result of those changes do take place.
