The syntax for this command is as follows:
<pack name> COMPRESS
Use this command to gather runtime information following a runtime failure of the online application. It collects sources, code files, and other material for subsequent engineering analysis.
Note: This command does not collect Sumlogs and PDUMPS.
When this command is executed for a system, all associated runtime files and selected source files are wrapped into a container file.
The container file is named <system>/RUNTIME/COLLECT/<ccyymmddhhmmss>.
A waiting job (<system>/RUNTIME/COLLECT/READY) shows the container name. This waiting entry self-terminates after 15 minutes.
COMPRESS, if supplied, will wrap the data files with COMPRESS enabled.
Pack name, if supplied, must be a valid disk pack. The container file is placed on this pack. By default, the Pack name is set to the application Dictionary pack.
The container name also appears in the Sumlog (MSG). A suffix of [C] after the container name indicates that the file is compressed.
