The Data Exchange Development Workbench Repository (DDW Repository) is a SQL Server database that stores all information associated with a transformation. The stored information includes schema definitions of a transformation source and one or more transformation targets, the mapping defined between the source and the target (at both classifier and feature levels), and the connection information from DDW to the source and target data store hosts. The DDW Repository can reside on a Windows partition where DDW is installed (local server) or on a Windows partition in a different machine (remote server). You can have one or more DDW Repositories.
