Note: MTU Configuration is required only if you are running Data Exchange on a ClearPath Forward environment over an InfiniBand network.
The USERFCMTU option provides control of the maximum transmission unit (MTU) value for TCP/IP. The sample initialization files that are provided reset the USERFCMTU option and define a connection group and component connection with message size attributes of 1500 bytes.
For bulk data transformation and changed data transformation to function as required, you must set the value of MTU on MCP and on Windows partitions to 1500.
For more information about configuring the MTU value, refer to the Section “Configuring Native MCP Server Networks > Controlling the Maximum Transmission Unit (MTU) Value” in ClearPath Enterprise Servers Network Services Implementation Guide .
For more information about network initialization files, refer to the Appendix “Building Network Initialization Files> Guidelines for Building TCP/IP Initialization Files” in ClearPath Forward Libra 4300 Server System Implementation Guide .
