Data Exchange uses SQL Server Secure Connection to secure communication between Runtime Service and a SQL Server target database.
To enable the secure connection,
Request a certificate from a trusted Certificate Authority (CA).
Install this certificate on the SQL Server and configure SQL Server to enable encryption.
On the machine where you have installed Runtime Service,
install the same certificate you used in the SQL Server in the Current User or Local Machine certificate store.
install the certificate chain of the Certificate Authority in the Trusted Root Certification Authorities.
Restart the Runtime Service.
While starting the transformation, turn on Secure Connection in the General Settings tab. For more details, refer to Data Exchange Runtime Administration and Operations Help.
