Data Exchange uses Oracle Secure Connection to secure communication from Runtime Service to Oracle databases. This involves configurations on the server as well as on the client. The client must be installed on the machine where Runtime Service is installed.
On the target Oracle Server
Install Oracle SSL Server and Service Name.
Configure the Oracle Net Manager and SSL Service.
Set Wallet Directory and SSL as Server.
Install Oracle Wallet Manager and provide a certificate for the Wallet.
Provide certificate and trusted certificate in Wallet, and then save the Wallet.
Select Auto Login in the Wallet.
Restart the Listener.
On the Oracle client,
Install Oracle Wallet and Oracle Net Manager.
Configure the Oracle Net Manager and SSL Service.
Set Wallet Directory and SSL as Client.
Provide a certificate for the Oracle Wallet.
Provide certificate and trusted certificate in Wallet, and then save the Wallet.
Select Auto Login in the Wallet.

On the Administration Site, while starting a transformation, turn on the Secure Connection and provide the Secure Connection Port number in the General Settings tab. For more details, refer to Data Exchange Runtime Administration and Operations Help.
