You need to stop the changed data transformation (CDT) that is in progress, if you want to deploy a new version of the associated transformation to the Administrative Service. You must deploy the new transformation, and then restart the CDT.
When you stop the CDT, Data Exchange stops processing the transformation records gracefully. When you resume the CDT, it automatically starts processing from where it had stopped. The Data Exchange Runtime Service Tracking Database (Tracking DB) that is created during the installation of the Runtime Service ensures that no transactions are duplicated or lost.
To stop a CDT
Click Manage.
The hosts associated with the deployed transformations appear on the Source Database Hosts pane.
On the Source Database Hosts pane, expand the relevant host icon, and then expand the required host to view the databases hosted on it.
Select the transformation source of the CDT in progress.
In the Summary tab, click Stop.
When you stop the CDT
The Runtime Service and the Agent stop all their activities.
The overall Data Exchange Status appears as Stopped under the Data Exchange Runtime Overview pane on the Summary tab.
To start a fresh CDT from the source database for which you have already run a CDT, you must manually clear the tracking database, and then start the CDT.
