Add Open DTP Server Message Dialog

You use this dialog to create a new ePortal Server Message for an OS 2200 Open DTP Data Source. Refer to Preparing to Use the OS 2200 Open DTP Data Source Wizards for more information.

  1. If you are importing a View buffer definition, select View definitions… and click OK. The OS 2200 Open DTP View Data Source Wizard appears.

  2. If you will be using an X_OCTET buffer, select Generic X_OCTET data and click OK. The OS 2200 Open DTP X OCTET Data Source Wizard appears.

  3. If you are importing a COBOL 01 record, select COBOL 01 Records… and click OK. The OS 2200 Open DTP COBOL Data Source Wizard  appears.

Note: When you add an X_OCTET buffer to your Data Source project, this creates a Server message named “X_OCTET_RECORD”.  You are only allowed to have one Server message named X_OCTET_RECORD.  Therefore, if you have already created the X_OCTET Server message, then the option Generic X_OCTET data is unavailable, so this option is disabled.
