Rebuilding the solution causes a full build; that is all build steps are performed, even if a build output exists and is up to date

To rebuild the solution, select Rebuild Solution from the Build menu.

The Rebuild Solution operation first cleans the solution. Refer to Cleaning the Solution for more information. After the solution is cleaned, the Rebuild Solution operation performs the Build Solution steps. Refer to Building the Solution for more information.

In addition, if the solution contains a Web Forms Application or Web Forms Mobile Application presentation project, the Rebuild Solution operation validates each client message against the corresponding .aspx file and generates a warning for each discrepancy found.
