Web Content Accessibility Guidelines

The World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) has defined guidelines for making web content accessible to a wider range of people with disabilities. These guidelines are known as Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG), and each guideline is given a level of A (highest priority), AA, (intermediate priority), or AAA (lowest priority). In general, web content should meet WCAG 2.0, levels A and AA.

For more information on WCAG 2.0, refer to http://www.w3.org/TR/WCAG20/.

The most common accessibility issues that you might encounter for an ePortal-generated web application are described in the following topics, along with recommendations to help your application conform to accessibility guidelines.
