For partitionable enterprise partition platforms (PEPPs), you create secure fabrics and associate partitions with them using the Fabric Manager. The following figure shows the screen for creating (adding) a secure fabric.

When creating (adding) a secure fabric, you give the secure fabric a name, specify networking details, select a Quality of Service level, and select one of the unique pre-existing identifiers for secure fabrics, known as subnet tags. (Subnet tags are known in InfiniBand as PKEYs).

After the secure fabric has been created, you associate partitions with it. The easiest way is while commissioning the partition, using the following screen.
