Unable to edit the system attributes. When you try editing the system attributes, the Fabric Manager displays an error message. The following is an example of the error message that is displayed when the editing system attributes operation is failed for the platform PL1:

The following configuration settings have failed.

The following platforms could not be contacted via FM-LAN network PL 1

Check the Power and Network connections and click ok to continue and if the problem persists, contact Support Center.

The platforms are not responding to commands from the Fabric Manager.

Note down the platform details indicated in the error message and accept the error message by clicking ok.

On all the platforms indicated in the error message, perform the following operation:

  1. Identify the platform on the ClearPath Forward system cabinet.

  2. Typically there will be an LCD display on the platform indicating it’s number.

  3. On the platform front panel, locate the system identification (ID) button.

  4. Press and hold the ID button for 30 seconds, and then release.

  5. During this, typically the platform LCD display flashes a text in the blue background. The iDRAC begins restarts. This might take approximately minutes.

Log on to the Fabric Manager and edit the system attributes.

If the problem persists, contact the Unisys Support center.

Pending jobs in the Lifecycle Controller queue that are preventing the iDRAC from accepting commands from the Fabric Manager.

Delete all the entries in the Lifecycle Controller job queue of the iDRAC.

To delete the job queue entries,

  1. Log on to the iDRAC using the Field Engineer credentials.

  2. Under the Job Queue tab, select all the entries and then click Delete.

  3. Click the Properties tab, and then in the Quick Launch Tasks section, click Reset Unisys iDRAC.

    This resets the iDRAC.

  4. Log on to the Fabric Manager and try editing the system attributes.
