The WRM monitors resources following a user-defined policy for which it sends alert event reports to Operations Sentinel alert services. It can monitor Windows 11, Windows 10, Windows 8.1, Windows Server 2022, Windows Server 2019, Windows Server 2016, Windows Server 2012, and Windows Server 2012 R2 systems. It can also monitor the following entities:
Disk drives
Services
Desktop applications
CPU utilization
Physical memory
Event logs
In addition, the WRM supports open-ended resource monitoring provided by user-defined scripts.
The WRM persists all unseen alerts to insure no events go unseen. It is also capable of executing cross-system commands using the CO (command) event report.
You can install the WRM directly from the Operations Sentinel release media onto each managed Windows system. It is automatically installed on the Operations Sentinel server when the Operations Sentinel server software is installed.
Operations Sentinel includes the Operations Sentinel Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) Trap service (see “Operations Sentinel Trap Service”).
